Exodus:
Designate two areas; one as Egypt, another as the Promised Land. The
kids to line up (can divide into groups like boys against girls) in
Egypt and answer Bible knowledge questions one by one. If a child
answers correctly, they can run to the Promised Land (such as a
playground area, prize corner, etc.); if they get the answer wrong,
they head to the back of the line. Game ends when all the children make
it into the Promised Land.
Jericho
Wall:
One group of children line up forming the wall (older children that can
stand still) and the other group of kids (smaller children harder to
keep still anyway) for the army that marches around the "wall." The
leader calls off the days and the army marches around the wall once a
day for six days. Use kazoos, whistles, construction paper, etc. for
three of
the kids to blow the horns to start the march (the other marchers and
the wall have to remain silent). On day seven, have the kids march
around the wall seven times, the horns blow and the kids scream, shout
and generally go nuts while the wall falls (older kids fall to the
ground). Noah's
Ark:
Make an Ark (out of paper, tables put together, block off an area with
chairs, etc.). Gather the children into an area in sight of the Ark.
Hang sign around their necks (or use stickers or tape, etc.)
to designate them as Sheep, Lions, Elephants etc. Have Noah (leader, or
a
child, or depending on size; up to eight people) call a particular
animal into the ark. Have the kids act like and/or make the sounds of
the animal they are supposed to be and come into the Ark. Noah's
Ark v2:
Noah can draw animal names from a container of some sort that match up
with an animal being portrayed by a child outside of the Ark. Noah's
Ark
v3:
A game of charades where children portray animals supposed and Noah has
to guess what animal they are before allowing them onto
the Ark. Noah's
Ark
v4:
Noah and up to seven helpers grab up children portraying animals in a
certain area. Noah's Ark v5:
A game of tag where the children act out the parts of animals and Noah
is it until all the animals are in the ark. Trinity-Tag:
A game of tag with no
base(s). Children form a triangle by joining hands - three in a group
to be "safe." The leader blows a whistle every few seconds to force
any threesome to drop hands and run. If a child gets tagged before they
can hold hands with two others,
that child is it.
